Cleveland Television station “WOIO-TV” has reported that Kyrie Irving who was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the number one pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, has filed police reports in West Orange, New Jersey and Coral Gables, Florida against a woman who allegedly threatened him on his Twitter account. The woman has been identified as Jessica Jackson, who is also known as Miss Hawaii. The report that was filed with the West Orange Police states that Irving says he met the woman one time in front of the Ritz Carlton in Charleston, North Carolina and spent two minutes with her.
The former Duke point guard says that the woman then posted some videos insulting him on You Tube, and then reportedly sent him a tweet on his Twitter account threatening to stab him. Irving’s attorney filed a harassment complaint and asked for a restraining order in West Orange Municipal Court and the two parties went to court on June 28. The 24-year-old Jackson was ordered by the judge hearing the case not to contact Irving again; but according to Irving’s lawyer the woman once again contacted his client via Twitter prompting the police report.
The point guard was drafted on June 23, with the first pick in the Draft after spending one season playing for the Duke Blue Devils. Irving appeared in just 11 games due to injury but that was enough to be picked number one by the rebuilding Cavaliers.
