Bulls/Heat Game One Gets Record TV Ratings

The Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat had a record-setting TV audience on Sunday as the Bulls defeated the Heat in game one of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals according to a report by the “Associated Press“.  The contest on Sunday night drew 11.1 million viewers which is the highest rating ever for a game broadcast on a cable station.  The network that broadcast the game “TNT” received a 6.2 rating which was an increase of 41% of their telecast of the first game of the Western Conference Finals last year.

According to the report the Association has been attracting a lot of viewers throughout the NBA Post Season. The first two rounds of the Playoffs averaged 4.92 million viewers which is an increase of 28% over last years Post Season. The first game of the Western Conference Finals begins Tuesday night at 9:00pm and will be broadcast by “ESPN.”
