Minnesota Timberwolves fans got some bad news on Wednesday; as “NBA.com” has reported that the club’s All-Star forward Kevin Love, will be out for the next 6-8 weeks, after breaking his right hand while working out with the squad on Wednesday. The report states that the team’s most impactful player, suffered a break of the third and fourth metacarpals of the hand he shoots with. The T-Wolves announced the injury after practice on Wednesday morning.
The power forward was the team leader in scoring and rebounds last season; the injury leaves Minnesota without two key players heading into the upcoming campaign, as point guard Ricky Rubio, is not expected to be able to play until the middle of December. Rubio is recovering from ACL surgery on his left knee, last season. Love has been a member of the Western Conference All-Star team the last two seasons and represented the USA this summer at the 2012 Olympic games in London.
