Kobe’s Jersey Number One In International Sales

Although the Los Angeles Lakers have fallen short of reaching the NBA Finals the last two seasons, it has not seemed to have dampened enthusiasm for their All-Star veteran guard Kobe Bryant across the globe, as the “Black Mamba’s” team jersey is the number one selling NBA jersey internationally. The Lakers official team blog, has reported that Bryant’s Lakers jersey tops all other NBA jerseys in total international sales, as well as being number one in sales in China, Europe and Latin America.

Rounding out the top five best-selling jerseys internationally; last season’s NBA MVP, Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose jersey finished number two while the current NBA MVP LeBron James, had the third most sold jersey. Veteran Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett’s jersey wound up as the fourth most sold while the jersey of All-Star center Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic came in fifth. The only rookie to make the top 15 selling jerseys, was Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio, who already is well-known across the globe due to his accomplishments in Spain.

According to the report; the figures are based on sales recorded at Adidas locations that are based outside of the USA, during the 2011-2012 campaign. The following list is the top 15 NBA jerseys sold internationally:
