Bulls Center Asik Done For Playoffs After Suffering Fractured Fibula

The “Chicago Tribune” reported Wednesday that Chicago Bulls rookie center Omer Asik is done for the season after fracturing his left fibula during game three of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night. The native of Turkey attempted to play Tuesday night as the Bulls lost game four to the Heat but came out of the contest after only a minute of play. The injury will not require surgery according to the reports but it will take the big man about six weeks to recover. Asik averaged 2.8 points and 3.7 rebounds during the regular season and had been an asset to Chicago in the Post Season.
